Testimony by Rocky Ramachandran
Lamentations – “Examine your ways and return to the Lord.
”I was arrested for heroine consumption in 2001 and spent 9 months in prison and spent the remnant of that prison term in Christian Care Centre. After completing the 1 year program, I decided to leave on my own accord, got myself a job in a restaurant and managed to rent an apartment nearby. All the time thinking I got it made, not realizing that I was slowly sinking into the depths of despair through alcohol and nicotine dependancy.
One day a customer came in and asked me a question, “are you a Christian?” I said yes, and he spoke into my life and said, “brother, the Lord has asked me to inform you to return to the Him before any affliction befalls you, for you have fallen away. I paid no attention to him until I was bed ridden with sickness. Than I remembered the words of that gentleman, “I too was like you and I returned to the Lord.”
I was beginning to lose my hearing, lost my concentration and got myself into the bad books of the boss. I could not go on anymore. Just as I was about to give up and do something stupid, my phone rang, it was Ps. Edward Job and all he said was “come back”. That was when I took it as a confirmation of the prophesy given me by that gentleman. I obeyed, and returned to Christian Care Centre. I’m glad that all this had happened, because now I realize that all this time God had never left or forsaken me.
